This is the official Oxford charity school website. We are very glad to have you visiting with us. Oxford High School (OHS) started in May 15th 2000 in the upcountry town of Mbale, Uganda to cater for the education and health of the under privileged school going children. We believe that our modest intervention can make significant improvement in the quality of life of these children.
The school is registered as a community based Organisation (CBO) pioneered by the Odoi family and a local church community. The community members started paying fees for helpless children from way back in 1996 and developed the idea into a school given that many of the members were teachers. The school started in 2000 may 15th. We work in partnership with local government councils, other NGO's, CBO's and individuals with whom we together identify the most vulnerable children who can access our sponsorship.
